Hey all of you Pro Football maniacs!

The biggest game of the NFL season is almost here.

Super Bowl 51 will be played this Sunday, Feb 5 and is scheduled to start at 6:30. The game this year will be held at NRG Stadium in Houston Texas. The New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons are the two teams going to battle and striving to become the NFL champion for 2016.

The Falcons became the first team to make it into Super Bowl LI by defeating the Green Bay Packers, 44-21, in the NFC Championship Game. It’s only the second time in the history of the franchise to make it to the Super Bowl. They have yet to win the title after a loss in Super Bowl XXXIII to the Broncos, 34-19.

The New England Patriots, with Tom Brady at the wheel, rolled over the Pittsburgh Steelers, 36-17, in the AFC Championship Game to make their record ninth Super Bowl appearance. The Patriots are 4-4 all-time in Super Bowls, with their latest championship coming just two years ago in Super Bowl XLIX. They narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24, to take the title.

I see this as an uphill battle for Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons. The current odds at Bovada Sportsbook seem to agree and show that most of the action has been on the Patriots. They were 16-2 SU, 15-3 ATS for the season and are currently 3 point favorites for Sundays game.

The Falcons were 13-5 SU, 12-6 ATS and with Matt Ryan running the show their offense was the best in the league. This makes it look like a much closer game on paper.

The total is also holding steady at 59.5 points – a new Super Bowl record.

The half time show over the years has been marred with controversy and it is always a huge production. For those of you interested in that, Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform.
