NFL Week 6 football power rankings

As we get ready for the NFL Week 6 football games, we take a look at how each team has improved or gotten worse with the latest Power Rankings; courtesy of the experts over at NFL.com. We can already tell Patriots fans were ready to pounce if their team was placed at position number 2, below the Green Bay Packers again, but this week, the New England Patriots outdid themselves and have happily moved up to the number one spot.

It seems the top spot is being contested by five very good teams this year, with the other being the Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and the Atlanta Falcons; all of which are still undefeated. The current rankings as we move into Week 6 are:

Rank Team Record
1 Patriots 4-0
2 Packers 5-0
3 Bengals 5-0
4 Broncos 5-0
5 Falcons 5-0
6 Cardinals 4-1
7 Panthers 4-0

9 Seahawks 2-3
10 Giants 3-2
11 Bills 3-2

13 Steelers 3-2
14 Colts 3-2
15 Rams 2-3
16 Chargers 2-3

23 Titans 1-3
24 Bears 2-3
25 Chiefs 1-4
26 Buccaneers 2-3
27 Jaguars 1-4
28 Dolphins 1-3
29 49ers 1-4
30 Saints 1-4
31 Texans 1-4
32 Lions 0-5

There are several teams that have been showing vast improvements over their initial performances including:

  • New York Giants jumping up 5 spots
  • Cleveland Browns jumping up 6 spots
  • Chicago Bears jumping up 7 spots
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers jumping up 6 spots

These teams have the most hope to getting back on track and getting into a winning season, although they have a lot of tough games ahead of them. It will take a lot for any of the top 5 ranked teams to fall from their current positions, but it is always great to see the big teams play aggressively. With this, fans can start making their own predictions as to which NFL teams will perform the best during the Week 6 football games.
